Established in 2002 by artist/photographer, Dany Weus, and his journalist wife, Vivienne,  artandsoulgallery and artandsoulcafe aim to celebrate all the good things in life. The gallery was officially opened on August 3, 2002, by then Queensland Minister for Primary Industries and Rural Communities, the Hon. Henry Palaszczuk, MLA, who also opened the extended gallery and cafe in September 2005.
A professional photographer by trade, Dany has won national recognition for both his photography work and his oil and acrylic paintings. Dany & Vivienne have travelled extensively - spending five years sailing around the world, working in magazines and newspapers in Paris and Tahiti - before returning to Australia to make their home in Vivienne's home town of Boonah, which is just one hour's drive from Brisbane and has a dynamic and continuously-growing arts community.
With its beautiful scenery, vineyards, lavender farms and cosy cottage farm stays, Boonah is a popular day trip and weekend escape destination for Brisbane and Gold Coast residents. It is located in the heart of the World-Heritage-listed Scenic Rim.
