Leanne Walker
Leanne Walker paints to lift the spirits, creating her works spontaneously and intuitively. Leanne’s paintings have evolved from stylized designs and screen prints, through to realistic commissioned paintings, to brushed ink figure drawings, to large organic designs with splashes and dribbles, and more recently, poured, ink-stained polymers.
These may be contrived to form images, or Leanne may choose to return to her intuitive preference for spontaneous, organic shapes.
She sees her bold and flamboyant glassware, decorated with sterling silver and bead creations and accompanied by a worded message, as forming a symbiotic partnership with her paintings.
Leanne lives at Pine Mountain, near Ipswich. Her mother was an artist, and, in the past, Leanne has done life drawing with ink, and has painted commissioned, realistic works.
Leanne’s aim is to surprise and fill the senses with colour and flamboyance. She mostly requires her audience to interpret, rather than view, a given image. Should you choose her artworks, Leanne’s intention is that they enrich and bring joy to your life.
