Zoe Wilson
Zoe Wilson is a talented young artist whose highly-decorative paintings and lino-cut prints make an instant impact. The daughter of Boonah veterinarian, Ross Wilson, and his wife Diana, Zoe completed her Bachelor of Fine Art, majoring in print-making, at the Queensland College of Art at Griffith University, in 2004.
In her final year, she won the print-making prize awarded by the Australian Decorative and Fine Art Society for her series of lino-cut prints titled "Torn". In 2005, Zoe was commissioned by the Boonah Valley Motel to paint a body of works which now hang in each of the rooms.
Whether she’s painting people, plants or her complex geometric patterns, Zoe has her own distinctive style. Her works reveal a definite talent for design and pattern as well as clever use of colour and space.
In 2006, Zoe headed overseas and spent time soaking up the sights and galleries of Europe, starting with the world’s art capital, Paris. Since her return, she has been back at the easel producing some great new works as well as pursuing a career in interior design.
